ON VIEW: Abstraction

April 3 - May 22 : Art Works Downtown, San Rafael, CA

This exhibition explores abstraction as a mode of visual thinking. From non-representational form to works that depart from observed reality, abstraction has long served as a site of experimentation, resistance, and reinvention. “narrative interrupted”, from my storied series will be part of this group show.

Receptions: April 10 and May 8 for the San Rafael First Fridays Art Walk.

A note from the Gallery:
Street Parking may be a challenge. They recommend parking in the two garages on C Street (one block away from AWD). Fourth Street and side street parking is metered until 6pm. Parking is free in the garages on Saturdays and free everywhere on Sundays.

April 30 - May 25: Mirada Art on Main, Half Moon Bay, CA

Some things hold still long enough to be painted. Others dissolve before you can reach them. The work in this exhibition lives between those two truths, between what can be documented and what can only be felt, between what the land keeps and what memory keeps. For this show, I will focus on my recent works on paper. These are experiments using paint, wax, and cut paper to further explore color, abstraction, and layering. I look forward to having these in one place, and hearing your feedback.

Opening Reception: Saturday, May 2nd, 1 – 4pm

ON VIEW: Touch

Mar. 1 - Apr. 30: Touch, 731 Designs, Pacifica

Curated by Olga Munoz, "Touch" examines our separation from this crucial human sense.  As we let visual stimulation take over human interactions, what does it mean to lose touch?  Apiece from my BorderDweller series is included in this thoughtful exhibit.

Artist Reception: Sat. March 14, 1 - 3p
